A GLOBAL FIRST – SHOOT WORLD – The world through your eyes
As well as giving you the chance to win prizes, the monthly Shoot Experience competitions are giving us the chance to develop our Big Idea – SHOOT WORLD – a gigantic World Map that captures the culture of every country and celebrates the diversity of our world.

We are inspiring people from every country in the world to take photographs on a central theme each month. The photos taken will be plotted onto a gigantic world map which will be printed onto the floor of the Association of Photographer’s Gallery in London, UK as well as online at www.shootexperience.com. (see image below).

Imagine walking barefoot over the world, over a geographical collage of photos showing a central theme through the eyes of people everywhere, from Cameroon to Cambodia to Cuba.

October
Pick up a camera and paint the world “Red”. Shoot Experience want to inspire people from every country in the world to take photographs on the theme of the colour “Red.”

Photos from each country will be plotted onto a world map, resulting in a geographical collage of photos, showing the theme through different eyes in different places from different points of view…

The map will then be printed at a massive size and exhibited in the Association of Photographer’s Gallery in London, UK as well as online at Shoot Experience.

The October competition launches on the 1st of October and runs until the end of October.
Online competitions will run monthly with different themes.

ABOUT SHOOT EXPERIENCE
Shoot Experience is a creative events company.

Reawakening people to their surroundings is an important part of our visually inspired events. We aim to showcase a kaleidoscope of photos and experiences produced through personal interpretation of an area and theme. We encourage citizen journalism in the artistic form.

We encourage people to take another look at their everyday environments through photography. As well as competitions we also produce Shoot Experience events in many areas of London and are expanding the concept across cities in the UK and USA.

March 2006
Those clever friends of ours in London have another SHOOTSHOREDITCH project up their sleeves…. Apparently the last one was a roaring success init luv. There are plans for a Joburg one in the near future but for now we will have to be satisfied with watching the Londoners do it!
Here’s the deal:

shootShoreditch is an INTERACTIVE, photographic treasure hunt

WHEN: Sunday 09 April 2006
WHERE: Cargo, 83 Rivington Street, EC2
HOW MUCH: ý10 per person

Following from the success of last year’s event, shootShoreditch is back with an even bigger and better day!

Briefing kicks off at Cargo at 12 noon. Armed with a treasure map and your camera you
spend the good part of the afternoon searching for “themed” clues and capturing them
in your own unique way.

There are 2 parts to the adventure and you are automatically entered into both:
1.) Finding all the clues
2.) Your photos will be judged on their creative merit by credible industry creatives

The day can be achieved on foot but you would be well advised to arrive with a 1 day travel/bus card – bicycles work too.
On returning to Cargo, we will judge your pictures followed by large-screen photo presentations, prize-giving and after party.

An exhibition will take place 2 weeks later to showcase the experience.

Adventure and fun are the aim of the game with a chance to win fantastic prizes whilst experiencing the rich culture and atmosphere of Shoreditch, EC2.

shootShoreditch will be one of the most fun days you will ever have in London.

Look out for shootLondon taking place at Tate Modern in July 2006.

Brett Stott – Rock Star (of Jefferson and Freedom Republic fame), art director, party-animal, creative genius and not to forget down-to-earth TOTI boy, has put together an amazing project in London. Called SHOOT SHOREDITCH, it’s a treasure hunt photo challenge in the groovy boho suburb of Shoreditch… participants have to find certain places, take a pic and keep going… the first teams in and the best pics win prizes. We’re talking to him about doing one in his favourite city – JOHANNESBURG – watch this space!

“As some of you may know I’m putting on a treasure hunt style photo challenge on Sat the 29th of october. We give you a map and you have to find the items and shoot them. It all takes place in Shoreditch. The first teams back win prizes. The teams who take the best photos win prizes.

We feed you dinner and then provide kickingly good entertainment till 2am in the 5 star Great Eastern Hotel.

The entry is a little steep at 25 pounds per person, but you get a day and a night out plus dinner! as well as a chance to win great prizes (see site).

This will be one of the most fun days you will EVER have in London.
We have an A4 advert in Vice magazine coming out on Friday. Make sure you get a copy!”
