Now that everyone’s finally back in Jozi let’s get back to all things dirty and delicious – SO all you beatfreaks, electronicas, bootyshakers and rhythmmakers or anyone wanting music thats *a little more complicated*, get to the first (?) of the now infamous Unsound System nights in 2000 & eita at Fuel Cafe – Sat Feb 9th in Newtown. Enjoy another Naughty night on the town as Premier League party promoter Lilo resurrects Unsound System for a further night of leftfield licks and techno tricks at Fuel Cafe this Feb.  Pitch perfect party-starters Dexterity and Offbeat return to rock the house alongside special guests Pierre-Estienne (Midnight Men, Cape Town) and Berlin-based beat specialist DJ Naughty. Following rapturous receptions on two previous sojourns South, Naughty (aka Filippo Moscatello) returns to Jozi to fire off some cutting edge electronics. A prolific player, Naughty has passed futuristic tracks welding together the best bits of house, techno and disco to imprints like Gigolo and Eskimo, and lent supreme remix swerve to artists as varied as Herbie Hancock, Fischerspooner, Tiga, Laurent Garnier, Goldfrapp and The Gimmer Twins. Nothing like a good birthday bash, reminiscing on the years gone by and the way you and your life has changed.  Particularly if you are a small creative business that has managed to stay open and rocking for more than a few months in this big dog eats small dog goldrush in Jozi.  Congrats to one of our favourite galleries, Afronova, they’re celebrating their second birthday with a retrospective exhibition. Happyyyyyy!
