One of Cape Town’s hottest new bands, blending intelligent jazz with irresistible raw grooves, Closet Snare comprises the members of the original Max Normal (minus Waddy) alongside South Africa’s best jazz drummer, Kesivan Naidoo, trombone/clarinet player Lee Thompson and visual artist Inge, who drops mind-warping visuals to the beats. It’s about time Closet Snare brought their masterful sound to Jozi.

The Volume’s frontman and one of the top rappers in the country, hear
Tumi play tracks from his Sama-nominated new album Music From My Good Eye, which mixes poetry and social commentary with real, raw hip-hop.
Tumi will be playing with mind-bending turntablist Paperkutt.

One half of everyone’s favourite audio terrorist group, The Real Estate Agents, and formerly Waddy Jones’s DJ since Max Normal days, Sibot is not just a turntable wizard but one of South Africa’s best producers. Sibot blends choice retro samples, dug up fresh from the crate, with crazy beats that merge hip-hop with, well, everything else.

His choice of tracks consolidates his reputation as a highly skilled, innovative Dj in general, and for this music in particular.
