In its ten year history Kaktus Oppi Vlaktes has played host to a huge variety of South African icons. Names such as Koos Kombuis, Valiant Swart, Johnny Clegg, Miriam Makeba, Jack Hammer, Johannes Kerkorrel and Anton Goosen and many many others have ensured that this one day open air music celebration has firmly established itself as note only one of the biggest events of this nature in the Western Cape, but also a great one-stop-top-up event to get a great selection of currently relevant acts.
The 2005 edition of the event is no different with the combined team of OppiKoppi productions and the KKNK pulling out all the stops to improve on the huge success of the first co-operative effort of 2004. Not only has an absolutely killer line-up been confirmed for the show, but logistical aspects such as additional toilets, easier catering arrangements and gate flow has all been looked at to make the day as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
