We are not sure why but this is the first time this year that we remind you guys about the ANIMATIONxCHANGE meetings… these guys are often last-minute but from what we hear the meetings are really worth it.
It’s that time of month again – xChange time!
First off, apologies to all in Joburg who got confused about xChange meeting dates – these things do slip by every now and again! So, to clear …
the matter up, xChange will be held on the 2nd Thursday of every month.
The next meeting is this Thursday, the 9th, so bring yourself, your animations and bring a friend.

Inspiration on tap!
October’s Animation Xchange promises to be another cracker, with more local content than ever! Industry leaders Luma will be showing us some of their latest work, including the recently-aired TV series ‘Speedy’.
Gareth Brown from Sceptre Seven will be showing some of the work he has been doing with CGI and puppetry, Srdjan Repensek will be screening some architectural visualizations created for the Joburg CBD revival, and Mike Scott will be screening work destined for 3G. Not to mention the usual smattering of innovative animation from around the world.

Animation freaks be at Wits on the 1st June to see this growing art in SA – get inspired!
We have ways and means of inspiring you!
We will demo the stop frame title design done by Hinge Productions (Paul Hanrahan) for a series on Permaculture and discuss what digital stills technology does for high quality,low budget stop frame animation projects (Viva Analogue!).
We also have “Harvie Krumpet” by Adam Elliot, 2004 Academy Award winner for animated short film.
And to get everyone’s creative juices flowing, we will show selected shorts from the Cape Town AnimationXchange meetings 100 Second Challenge entries.
It’s going to be a corker!
