We were hoping to go to Japan this year, there’s something about the place that is so intruiging – maybe it’s the fact that it’s so far away from us, in so many ways, geographically, culturally and socially…. t this year’s Japanese Film Festival at Rosebank Cinema Nouveau screened by Jameson from the 20 – 22nd January.

The films include Kids Return selected for the Director’s Fortnight at the 1996 Cannes Film Festival, the romantic comedy Nabbie’s Love and Village of Dreams, the winner of the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival.

Entrance to the Japanese Film Festival is free with tickets available from the box office one hour before the screening and subject to availability.
