It’s the perfect place to relax and watch the sunset, watch the ships coming and going and soak in the Durban air. THe last time we were there was a young Jazz band from the University of Natal Jazz school – wow they were awesome and the beers were cold and the food from TransAfricaEx…press (i think that’s the name) was delicious. Starting on the 15 March there is a fascinating exhibition entitled Amagugu VII – Treasures Exhibition which features amazing traditional beadwork from hidden tribes and unexplored areas around the country… there is trippy beadwork from the 60’s and 70’s – see this hat in the picture… well worth a visit to celebrate our cultural heritage. Here’s the PR: The exhibit is from Wednesday 15 – 25 March 2006. It will be opened by Yvonne Winters, Senior Museologist, Campbell Collections of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
