Glühwein wine review and competition – “Juuust right”
If the cute little wine scarf on the neck of the bottle of Original Glühwein doesn’t convince you to buy it, then perhaps this review will.
I popped open a bottle of Original Glühwein on a cold winter’s night in Joburg, heated it up on the stove and sat back on the couch with a blanket to enjoy. The lovely liquid instantly warmed me up and in no time I was getting up for a refill. Some Glühwein is too sweet for me, some too spicy, but this one I found to be “Juuuust right.” There’s enough spice without you having to chew on bits of cinnamon sticks and cloves, and it’s just dry enough that you can drink it as you would any hot drink. Which might not be such a good thing… If you’re like me, that means way too many refills! Before the weather warms up, do yourself a favour and treat yourself to a bottle of Original Glühwein (the one with the cute red scarf) – best consumed under a blanket or in front of a fire. Enjoy!
