While Fuel cafe has been around for a while, we’re really loving it at the moment… if we’re a little slow on this Monday morning that’s probably because we were jolling there till all hours on Saturday. Great venue. In the city.
Good news is that slightly underground and interestingly unique DJ’s Damian and Greg from K Kar Kommandos are resident at Fuel Cafe with their “Unsound system” nights from this first Saturday in August. Get down!
LILO present Unsound System @ Fuel Cafe
LILO, the organisers who brought you countless parties par excellence, is turning Saturday nights at Fuel Cafe into an evening of electronic euphoria. With eclectro statesmen K Kar Kommandos on weekly duty from August, 08:30 to 02:00, expect a night of machine made madness.
With a policy that always puts music first LILO has staked a claim as Jozi’s premier party organiser, introducing the city to the fine sounds of, amongst others, Charles Webster, Jeff K, Inland Knights, Rob Mello, Ralph Lawson, Alex Moran, Murray Richardson, Dave Togher and many more. Now they’re teaming up with musical mash-men K Kar Kar Kommandos to take Fuel CafĂ˝ hostage for weekly doses of beats that span a universe of the weird and the wonderful.
Damian and Greg are K Kar Kommandos, the guys who took it back to basics with sporadic free parties at Hotel Sunningdales. Here they entertained the increasingly packed venue with a wobbly fusion of out-house, punk funk, synth-pop, minimal glitch, new acid and eclectic electro. Expect this and more when they bring their Unsound System to Fuel Cafe.
With an increasing demand for more intimate spaces, Fuel Cafe is the perfect place for these Saturday night jaunts. A combination of the finest underground sounds, good food and an inviting space: who could ask for more? Unsound System at Fuel every Saturday from August – a reason to rock.
