SENSATION ‘INNERSPACE’ AND SAMSUNG #GALAXYexperience GIVE SOUTH AFRICANS THE ULTIMATE DANCE EXPERIENCE

Sensation “Innerspace” was a blast on the 7th of September. If you missed it, find out after the jump how it was. On the 7th of September 2013, the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg was transformed into an ‘Innerspace’ extravaganza at what is being hailed as the most stunning music and dance event of year. Affirming its position as the ‘World’s Leading Dance Event’, Sensation ‘Innerspace’, presented by Samsung #GALAXYexperience and produced by Netherlands-based ID&T, debuted in South Africa to a sold-out audience. Some 17,000 revelers, all dressed in white, were part of this world-class event, featuring dazzling and sophisticated production elements synonymous with Sensation shows around the world. Sensation ‘Innerspace’ was a seven-hour sensory experience that included music, acrobatics, laser and light shows, performance acts and a towering central water feature. The highlight was certainly the Samsung #GALAXYexperience moment at 12.30am that included 4,000 Samsung-branded LED battens being distributed throughout the arena. Phenomenal dance music was produced by the stellar international DJ line-up of Sensation opening DJ Mr White, Nic Fanciulli, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Daniel & Juan Sanchez and Thomas Gold. “Samsung #GALAXYexperience is proud to have played a part in bringing the global dance phenomenon, Sensation ‘Innerspace’, to South Africa. An EDM event of this magnitude has never been staged locally before – and it certainly moved beyond the expectations of all those who came,” says Craige Fleischer, Director Samsung Mobile South Africa.  “Sensation South Africa, through its highly innovative Innerspace show and the strategic partnership with Samsung Mobile South Africa, successfully concluded the highest-ever single arena electronic music attendance with a sold-out audience,” says Greg Walsh, managing director of local promoter, G&G Productions. South Africa has now been added to the list of over 24 countries around the world that have hosted successful sell-out Sensation shows, and the thousands of people who attended on Saturday night join the millions who have experienced this phenomenal dance experience. The Sensation phenomenon has finally come to the African continent and the South African dance music and dance world will never be the same again. Sensation and presenting partner Samsung would like to thank additional partners Heineken and DSTV. SENSATION ‘INNERSPACE’ BE PART OF THE NIGHT, DRESS IN WHITE

With just under three weeks until South Africa witnesses the global phenomenon that is Sensation Innerspace, one incredible and essential aspect that adds to the spectacle of the event is the all-white dress code. For one night only on the 7th of September 2013, the Coca-Cola Dome in Johannesburg will be transformed into a sea of white as dance enthusiasts experience the debut of the world’s leading dance event on the continent of Africa. This tradition was, sadly, born from a tragic event: When ID&T (the organisation behind Sensation) co-founder Duncan Stutterheim lost his brother Miles in a car accident in 2001, all visitors were informally asked to dress in white for that year’s show. More than 80% of the visitors adhered to this tribute and this marked the birth of the well-known Sensation dress code as we know it today. Sensation ‘Innerspace’ South Africa will make no exception and stick to the memorable tradition that will add a sensory array of enlightenment for all attendees. Sensation ‘Innerspace’ will features a stellar international DJ line-up consisting of Thomas Gold, Nic Fanciulli, DJ duos Daniel & Juan Sanchez, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and of course, Mr White, who will be opening the dazzling event. So, what white outfit will you be wearing to Sensation on 7 September? Sensation ‘Innerspace’ is proudly presented by Samsung #GALAXYexperience.
